Nike announced today that Colin Kaepernick will be the face of their 30th anniversary “Just do it” campaign.
In the hours that followed media outlets, celebrities and pundits weighed in on their thoughts. Some believe Nike made a great move supporting the NFL player while others took the position that it was wrong to glorify the player after he started the trend of kneeling during the national anthem to protest police brutality.
As of Tuesday morning #JustDoIt and #NikeBoycott were trending as many people tweeted in support of Nike while others went as far as posting pictures of their Nike gear being lit on fire.
Are you supporting Nike’s move or do you think it was a mistake?
With 3 hours until market open, Nike was showing no major pre-market reaction either way.
